This is my kitty. He is a little under 1½ years old. He is bright and happy and a very awesome cat. He purrs non-stop. He is my best friend and is always there for me.

I came home yesterday from a long day of work, and he didn’t rush to the door like normally. In fact, I thought he might be sleeping so I unloaded groceries and put some water to boil for supper, then went to unload in my bedroom.

He was lying on the floor next to my laundry hamper, just chillin. I though “Oh, are you cold?” because he does that if the room is too cold. So I sit down beside him and pet him, because he loves to be pet. Usually his little motor will go because he’s such a purr-machine :D But there was no purring.

So I’m worried. He doesn’t purr when he’s scared or in pain. He also was lying funny, putting most weight on his front legs. I try to pick him up and he meows in pain. My poor baby, he probably fell and sprained something. :( That’s what I hope.

Since it’s 7.30pm on a Sunday, I take him to the emergency pet hospital on Kirschner. My roommate was kind enough to drive me. Sherb has a bit of a limp in his back leg, so that’s why I took him. I care about my friend. The vet. secretary told me over the phone of the 100$ emergency fee + 69$ examination fee. I wince, because I don’t have much money, but I figure it won’t be much more than a sprain.

It’s not. :( He broke his leg by the hip, and he needs surgery. The end of yesterday with the x-rays and overnight stay alone cost around 580$ which I had to pay on the spot. I’m glad I didn’t wait until morning. But ouch..

Surgery is going to be approximately 1600$ and god knows how much extra.

He is really a sweet kitty and my best friend, I want him to get better. :)

I really don’t like asking for things but this bill is too much OTL

I haven’t drawn in awhile but I can whip out my tablet if 5-10$ sketches are what people want as well :)
